Rice with roasted peppers + grilled sardines

Ingredients

Agulha Pampa - Arroz Oriente
  • 25 fresh sardines
  • salt to taste
  • 3 small peppers (red, green and yellow)
  • 1 cup of Orient Rice
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • fresh parsley (optional)

Preparation

  1. Start by roasting the peppers with a pinch of salt. After they are well toasted, remove the skin from the pepper and cut it into strips.
  2. In a pan, sauté the chopped onion with the oil. Then add the Oriente rice, 2 cups of hot water and a pinch of salt. Let it cook for about 7 minutes over low heat. Add the peppers and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  3. Roast the sardines with a pinch of salt.
  4. Serve the sardines with rice and roasted peppers and finish with chopped fresh parsley.
