Oriente was born in the 1980s to bring new flavours of rice recognised by its excellence, diversity of textures, aromas and innovative combinations.
We seek only the best food in appearance, taste and nutritional quality, to offer a unique taste experience.

We stand for the authenticity of food, wherever it comes from.

DIVERSITY AND UNITY
We want to introduce the flavours of the world where rice culture has great traditions, such as the ancient varieties from India, Thailand, Japan…
Food is very important in the culture of a people and our identity.
Different flavours transport us to new places and memories of special moments.
They enrich our culture and the way we live.
We believe that the discovery of new flavours and traditions also brings countries and people closer together.

A range with more than 20 different varieties of rice that allows us to discover other gastronomic cultures through the characteristic taste of rice from each region. With new discoveries, we enrich our culture, while valuing the local and global economy, contributing to the economic and social development of other regions.

COMMUNITY
We believe that rice is a reason for moments of togetherness among friends and family. Special moments of sharing and fun. But also, the moments of everyday life.We want to be present on several occasions. At the most elaborate meals, but also when there is less time and the need for speed and convenience.

Consumers have less and less time and are therefore looking for more practical and faster solutions. In this sense, we developed packaging that is easier to use and transport. This way, consumers can continue to enjoy moments with family and friends, anywhere.

HEALTHY EATING
Oriente wants to promote healthy eating capable of improving the happiness and quality of life of its consumers.

One of our concerns is also to inform consumers about conscious choices that promote healthy eating and variety. Rice, in addition to being a cereal rich in carbohydrates, is also a food rich in protein, vitamin B, iron and fiber and is essential for it to be part of our diet.

SUSTAINABILITY
We are part of an ecosystem with finite resources. The well-being of the planet is indispensable for us to maintain a balanced, fair and healthy society.
We advocate the progressive elimination of waste and the sustainability of the business throughout the value chain.

Here, we work based on a circular economy. The rice with husk enters the factory and everything is used: the husk, the bran, the broken rice and, of course, the rice selected for the consumers’ table.

Sustainability is one of our main concerns and, over the years, we have been developing more responsible production mechanisms, in the short, medium and long term. We want to continue working towards the eradication of poverty, based on sustainable agriculture, using clean and accessible energy sources. Furthermore, we have been developing quality education actions for younger people.

SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY

We want to reduce hunger and also contribute to the environmental and economic sustainability of rice production.
