Parboiled rice with turkey and orange sauce

Ingredients

Vaporizado D´Oro - Arroz Oriente
  • 1 kg of turkey breast
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

Marinade:

  • 2 large oranges
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt to taste
  • 3 sprigs of rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 + 1/4 cup steamed rice
  • 2 +1/2 cup of water
  • salt to taste

To serve:

  • Brocolinis

Preparation

  1. Place the turkey breast with one of the oranges cut into slices and the juice of the other orange and lemon. Add the pepper paste, garlic powder, salt and rosemary. leave the turkey in marinate overnight (or at least for 2 hours).
  2. Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
  3. Add the onion cut into half moons to the turkey and marinade and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for about 35 minutes. Every 10 minutes remove from the oven and water with the sauce.
  4. Meanwhile, in a pan, place a drizzle of olive oil with the minced garlic cloves. add rice and let it fry for 1-2 minutes. Add water and salt, cover and cook over low heat. simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Transfer the rice to a platter and bake for another 10 minutes, or until toasted.
  6. Serve the turkey with the orange sauce, steamed rice and sautéed broccoli (optional).
