ingredients

Cod fish pies:
- 200g of cod
- 150g diced potatoes
- 1 egg
- Parsley (to taste)
Sprouts rice:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 cup Extra Long East Rice
- 1/2 cup of frozen turnip greens
- 1 pinch of salt
Preparation
- Cook the codfish in plenty of water. Remove from the water, remove the pimples and shred. Nonetheless place the potatoes in the cod cooking water and let it cook for about 10 minutes. Crush the potatoes.
- Mix the crushed potatoes with the shredded cod, a beaten egg and chopped parsley.
- With the help of 2 tablespoons, mold the pastries and fry them in very hot oil, until become golden.
- In a saucepan, place the olive oil and chopped garlic. Shortly after add the rice and let it fry for 1-2 minutes.
- Add 1 cup of hot water and salt to taste. Cover and let it cook on low heat for about 8 minutes.
- Add the turnip greens and cook for another 5 minutes. Serve the turnip rice with the codfish cakes.
