Bulhão Pato Hake with Oriente Long Grain Rice

Ingredients

Agulha Pampa - Arroz Oriente
  • 3/4 cup Extra Long East Rice
  • 1 + 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 pieces of hake
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup of white wine
  • 250g white clams
  • salt and black pepper

To serve:

  • parsley to taste
  • 1/2 lemon

Preparation

  1. Start by seasoning the hake steaks with lemon juice and a pinch of salt. Book for about 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile start preparing the rice. In a pot put the rice with hot water and salt. Cover and let the rice cook over low heat for about 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in another pan, place a drizzle of olive oil and the sliced ​​garlic. Add the hake steaks. Gradually add the wine and cook for about 10 minutes.
  4. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  5. Add the clams to the hake, cover and cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hake à bulhão pato with rice. Finish with a generous dose of chopped parsley and lemon slices.
