ingredients

- 1/2 cup of Agulha Oriente Rice (110g)
- 1 cup of hot water (125g)
- 2 cups of almond vegetable drink (or milk)
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 anise star (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
- Zest of 1/2 orange
Toppings:
- 1/2 pomegranate
- 4 tablespoons of hazelnuts
Preparation
- In a pan, place the rice with hot water. Let it cook over low heat for about 8 minutes.
- Add the vegetable drink, sugar and spices (cinnamon stick, anise and vanilla). Let cook until the rice absorbs almost all the liquid (another 15-20 minutes)
- Using a hand blender, lightly grind the rice porridge. Add the orange zest and mix with the remaining ingredients.
- Serve with pomegranate seeds and roughly chopped hazelnuts.
