- 300 gr. of rice ORIENTE Extra Long
- 300 gr. of peas
- 2 medium carrots
- 10 green beans
- 1 onion
- 2 ripe tomatoes
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 dL of olive oil
- 1 bay leaf
- salt
- Water
Preparation
It is sautéed with the oil, the onion and the minced garlic cloves. As soon as the onion starts to become translucent, add the chopped tomato. After a few minutes, wash and add the peas, carrots, green beans and bay leaf. Cover the pan and let it cook for another ten minutes.
Then add the vegetable stock and bring to a boil. At this point, add the rice and let it cook until the liquid is practically absorbed.
It is served as a main dish.
Due to its healthy composition, vegetable rice is essential when you want to make a typical Portuguese dish with low calorie content, nutritionally complete and to the taste of vegetarians.
